Margaret has been designing training materials for more than 15 years. In addition to a Master’s degree in Adult Education from New York University and a graduate certificate in Designing E-Learning, she was also trained by learning engineers at the Carnegie Mellon Open Learning Initiative—the gold standard in evidence-based e-learning design.
Her work includes designing and delivering training programs to numerous corporate entities, including Microsoft Healthcare, MultiCare, and Chiron Biotech, as well as many other healthcare organizations. Her projects include designing training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff at the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) that attracted more than 6,000 participants. One of these programs was the most highly rated course ever offered at the VA. She has also designed training materials for the US Department of Health & Human Services Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) national curriculum, Johns Hopkins, and Carnegie Mellon Open Learning Initiative. Additionally, she was also part of an organizational development team at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
Her goal in designing e-learning is to provide learners with an engaging, interactive experience resulting in the acquisition of actionable skills and knowledge.
